The goal is to keep Shropshire children in loving family homes near the people and places they know. And to keep siblings together. Our foster carers come from all backgrounds - what matters most is having room in your heart.
We have the highest possible Ofsted rating – ‘Outstanding’ – meaning you’ll be part of a dedicated and professional team. You’ll receive support & training that’s provided locally, and payments up to £45,000 per year per child.

Who can foster for Shropshire?
There's no such thing as an “ideal” foster carer. You could be single, married, a same-sex couple, working full-time or not at all. You might rent your home or own it. We actively welcome carers from different backgrounds and communities across Shropshire.
You just need to be over 21 and have a spare bedroom (unless you’re only fostering babies). Children thrive where there is stability, patience and love – those are the qualities we’re looking for. One of our carers, Paula, has supported 60+ children in 20 years. Could you be next?
